Edging Installation Guide |
1. MEASURE AND STAKE OUT SITE Stake out area and string a line to determine placement. Remove 2" to 3" of sod. Remove roots, large rocks, and loose soil.
2. PREPARE AND LEVEL BASE Level soil and add sand if needed.
3. INSTALL EDGINGS Place edgings end to end in trench. Be sure to interlock stones.
4. CUT TO FIT If you need to cut edgings, use a hammer and chisel, masonry saw or hydraulic splitter (which can be rented). Always wear gloves and safety glasses.
5. SECURE STONES Tap down the edgings with a rubber mallet.
6. REPLACE SOIL Compact soil so that edgings are held tightly in place.
